AfterElton: Were you surprised that the issue of Da Vinci’s sexuality has become such a big talking point with the show?

Tom Riley: No, because when I did my research I saw a part of it, and when David was writing and we were discussing it and when we were choosing certain episodes, we were determined to be utterly unflinching on a network where we can be. So we may as well pay as much respect to that speculation.

Another brand new, wonderfully fascinating interview with Tom by Luaine Lee, from January's TCA event in Pasadena, has appeared on a couple of sites online. There is a new interview with Tom on You Tube from the First Light Awards on Monday. Tom had presented the You Tube Digital Innovation Award, and discusses new media broadcast platforms, Da Vinci's Demons and the wish to return to Broadway to do more theatre. 

Video interviews with some of the Da Vinci's Demons cast members, including Tom, from the set of Da Vinci's Demons have been uploaded to the FOX Crime Norway website. 

In his interview Tom discusses costumes, action sequences and also tells us how much a fan of David S. Goyer he is, and how his talents and knowledge made filming the series so much easier.
